South East Asia offers a variety of destinations for a backpacking trip. Cambodia, Vietnam, Lao and Thailand all offer unique cultures and experiences. Traffic can be a little hectic around bigger cities and on main roads, however they are used to slow moving mopeds and motorbikes so after a while you learn to become part of the flow of traffic.

Hill Climb National Championships 2019 Preview

Hill Climb National Championships 2019 Preview

With the National Championships looming, we thought it wise to check in on our favourite hill-climb mentalists to see how their seasons have been going, as well as their specific preparations for the big day itself on Sunday 27th October. Andy Feather comes in as both defending National Champion, and hot favourite, having set 6 course records on his way to 10 wins of a possible 12 so far this season.

It won't be a walk in the park, as he'll face hot competition from the likes of Dan Evans & Ed Laverack (course record holder). After taking the honours at Pea Royd Lane in 2018, we're also expecting to see Fiona Burnie head to Haytor to defend the womens' title against an ever-strengthening opposition.
Meeting Ryan Le Garrec

Meeting Ryan Le Garrec

Ryan Le Garrec is a French Videographer who has been following the Ultra Cycling calendar for the past year. He has provided some of the amazing images and video that has appeared in the Hunt Beyond newsletter and social media so we took the time to sit down with Ryan and find out a bit more about the man behind the lens.

As a child I always wanted to put my eye to daddy’s big camera. Kids look up to firemen and policemen, but I looked up at the war reporter and the superhero of my childhood, my dad. He was literally dodging bullets and bombs to tell the world what’s going on and report about people suffering the evil side of the human race. That and the fact I found cameras super sexy sparked a very early interest for filming.

True Grit: A Love Story

True Grit: A Love Story

We're left with nothing but a sense of immense pride for Rory Townsend, not just for his ride on the day, but for his road leading up to Harrogate. Following a rocky 2018, he rode an immense season this year, with podium places in both the Classic Loire Atlantique & the Rutland-Melton CiCLE Classic in the Spring. Another few podium places came during a big block in Belgium in the mid-part of the season. Then a win at the final stage of this year's Tour Series in Brooklands preceded a 4th place at the Irish National Road Road Championships at the end of June. Then, of course, came his amazing ride at the Tour of Britain, which saw him take the Eisberg Sprints Jersey, just days before receiving the call-up for the World Championship squad.

HUNT at the Tour of Britain 2019

HUNT at the Tour of Britain 2019

Another Tour of Britain done, and another Eisberg Intermediate Sprints jersey in the bag. What an epic ride it was by Rory Townsend to fend off competition from both World Tour & Pro Conti riders, in a week that saw him put world class sprinters away (such as a Matteo Trentin).

We were lucky enough to be on the road for the duration of the race, and were once more reminded of the fact that Canyon dhb are nothing like other race teams...

We took a look at some of the bikes of Further to see what riders thought was the fastest option...

Brighton Big Dog 2019 | 6 of the most painful and brilliant hours of our year

Brighton Big Dog 2019 | 6 of the most painful and brilliant hours of our year

Start of August is a privotal point of the summer. Not only is the start of the end of summer but it is also time for 2 awesome cycling events, first being Ardrock (lets not talk about that one) and Brighton Big Dog.

The Big Dog is a Local 6 hour XC race based in Brighton's Stanmer Park, just on the outskirts of the city. Being based just outside Brighton and with a large amount of our staff living in the thriving city, it is always a big talking point in the office with a large amount of our team taking part or coming to watch.
