<h1>Spokes</h1><i>We have chosen top of the line, triple butted Pillar Spokes with increased reinforcement at the spoke head. Not only are these spokes extremely lightweight, they are also able to provide a greater degree of elasticity when put under increased stress. The Pillar Spoke Reinforcement (PSR) puts more material at the spoke head, just before the J-Bend to prevent failure in this stress area.</i>

The Purpose.

More powerful and able to carry greater momentum, E-bikes place a huge amount of strain on wheels. The E_Enduro wheelset has been developed from the ground up to handle these unique demands. Featuring a 37mm wide 6069-T6 rim, laced with thick triple-butted spokes to oversized E-Specific hubs; the E_Enduro is up for anything you can throw at it, making them an ideal upgrade over your standard Original Equipment set. Developed closely with Elite level racer Oli McKenna, the E_Enduro wheels have been tested to the same rigorous standards as our Downhill rated wheels. The rim sidewall tapers to be 25% thicker and with up to 41% more material in the rim bed compared to our Enduro Wide, they're ready for whatever the trail springs at you. Gone are the days of E-bikes just for commuting, modern E-MTB's can take on the steep & loose just like their 'acoustic' siblings. Whether you use it as a training tool, to fit more runs in between daily duties, or you simply don't like climbing - E-bikes are a great way to get in more vertical.

Note: best performance is usually gained by using tyre pressures lower than the maximum, you can see our blog post about this, read here. Tubeless-ready for lower weight and rolling resistance. You must not exceed the maximum tyre pressure limits set out in the table below or the maximum limit set by your tyre manufacturer if this is lower.

Rims

The E_Enduro Wide rim includes details which are high on the durability factor to make sure you finish every ride or stage. The E_Enduro Wide rim provides support to the tyre during hard cornering or hucking off that step-down you've been eying off for a few months!

Rim Profile

Like all of our wheels, the Hunt MTB line-up is designed to be used as a tubeless system. Featuring a H-Lock rim bead with 'up-kicks' to the shoulders of the rim bed secures your tyre when seated. This prevents side-to-side movement reducing the chance of burping your tyre. It creates a great rim-well seal for first installation and easy sealing of tubeless tyres. Still haven't made the switch? All our wheels are tube compatible as well.

Weight

Mountain bikers aren't concerned about weight, right? Nope! Whether you're doing a back-country epic or pedalling between stages, we have paid attention to weight to suit the type of riding they will be subjected too. For example, using the highest specification Pillar triple butted spokes with PSR (Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement) has allowed us to not only create a stronger wheel with a higher spoke count, but one which does not add a weight penalty.

All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh rolling-drum fatigue tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. Max system weight 135 kg (system weight total weight of fully kitted up rider, bike and luggage). If the system is over 125 kg then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly.
